Albanian wedding and sweet

Have you ever asked yourself what are the traditions of other countries like Albania?

One old and very famous tradition in Albania is the wedding ceremony. Albanians celebrate weddings differently from other countries. For example, they don't go to church. Instead, they go to a resturant and the only people who go there are the family of the groom. They drink, eat and dance. The bride's family go there too, but they only stay for about two hours. After the "big"party, all of them go to the bride's house and take her from her family.

One other tradition is "Ballokume"Ballokume is the the special sweet of Albania. We make it every 14th March because that is the day the Albanians celebrate the coming of spring and also the day when Ballokume was created for the first time.

Those are two of the biggest traditions in Albania.

  1. Super nice details! You know I am also getting married and planning to hire a music band to perform Live on my wedding that will be at most romantic rooftop wedding venues in New York. I am so excited for my big day.
